This project was born from a vision to elevate the beachfront experience and transform the public space into an inviting destination for families and tourists.
The goal was to create a playground that feels like a natural extension of the landscape, with structures that harmonize with the colors, shapes, and unique atmosphere of HaTzuk South Beach.
Coastal-Ready Materials:
Given the playground’s proximity to the sea and constant exposure to salt, humidity, and strong winds, special attention was given to material selection:
Robinia Wood – A durable, natural hardwood chosen for its exceptional strength and weather resistance. Its rich texture and warm appearance blend seamlessly with the natural surroundings.
Stainless Steel Structures for Swings – Engineered specifically for coastal conditions, these stainless-steel constructions ensure long-term resistance to corrosion and salt exposure, while providing strength and safety for all users.
Sea-Inspired Design:
Each element of the playground tells a story of the sea: climbing structures that echo the nearby cliffs, a small boat for imaginative play and “sailing” adventures, and swings positioned to capture the breathtaking ocean views. Flowing lines and natural tones were chosen to mirror the waves and sea breeze, bringing the spirit of the coast into the play area.
