This large-scale playground project was developed as a central gathering space for a community rebuilding its daily life and public environment.

The vision was not simply to create another play area, but to design a meaningful, high-impact playground that would serve as a symbol of vitality and long-term growth.

Psagot Playgrounds led the planning of a robinia wood playground centered around an iconic flagship structure. The multi-level play system includes tall towers, enclosed high slides, rope bridges, perimeter climbing nets, and elevated circulation paths.

The central structure creates a strong visual presence while supporting diverse physical challenges and age ranges. Natural robinia wood was selected as the primary material due to its durability, structural strength, and warm organic appearance. The material choice reinforces a natural landscape character while ensuring long-term performance in outdoor conditions.

Design Phase

The design process focused on vertical circulation and continuous movement between levels. Climbing elements were arranged to allow gradual ascent, while bridges and nets create interactive transitions between towers. Slide exits were positioned to maintain safe landing zones and natural play flow.

Material planning emphasized durability, weather resistance, and minimal maintenance. Surface materials combine impact-attenuating safety surfacing with synthetic turf to define active and transitional zones.

Design Concept

The design language is based on vertical robinia trunks combined with green and sand-toned elements. The tall towers create a recognizable skyline within the park, while circular rope systems introduce movement and visual lightness.

The result is a robinia wood playground that blends natural aesthetics with structural strength, offering both emotional presence and functional performance.
