Playground Design in a Candy Inspired Concept

Psagot Playgrounds designed a playground based on a candy inspired concept, created for a wide range of ages and shaped through a joyful, colourful, and clearly defined visual language. The space combines main play structures, swings, movement based elements, imaginative play features, and interactive photo panels. Together, these elements create a rich play experience with a strong and memorable identity.

About the Project and the Process

In this project, Psagot Playgrounds focused on designing a playground with a candy inspired concept that would create one clear language across the entire space. The planning connected large play features with complementary elements that encourage movement, imagination, meeting points, and free play. The result is a playground that offers a varied experience for different age groups while maintaining one consistent concept throughout the site

Highlights/Uniqueness of the Project

This playground stands out through its strong thematic identity and its playful visual character. Alongside the main play structures, the space includes additional elements that support different types of activity and help extend the overall experience. One of the most distinctive features is the set of printed photo panels, designed with circular openings that allow children to place their heads inside and become part of the scene, turning photography itself into part of the play experience.

Design Phase

The design phase focused on creating a playground that supports several forms of play within one unified space. The layout combines climbing and sliding activities, imaginative play, swinging, bouncing, balancing, and movement based play, so the experience develops naturally from one activity to another. Additional elements, including a rose leaf rocker, spring play unit, toddler swings, basket swing, and photo panels, were integrated to increase variety and create interest across the playground.

Design Concept

The design language of the playground is rooted in a clear candy inspired world, led by a strong presence of pink alongside complementary colours and graphic details that reinforce the atmosphere. The concept appears in the forms of the equipment, the colour palette, and the overall feeling of the site. The result is a playground with a lively identity, playful character, and a visual presence that immediately draws attention.
